Deputy Manager (Non-Clinical)

Location: Smethwick, West Midlands
Job type: Permanent
Pay rate: £13.50 - £14.50 per hour

My client is recruiting a strong, experienced Non-Clinical Deputy Manager to join their established management team.

This is a privately owned, family‑run nursing home with over 40 beds, providing care for older people, including dementia care, physical disability care and respite care. The home benefits from the support and vision of a larger organisation and is currently undergoing a significant investment programme on site.

The successful candidate will support the Registered Manager in the day‑to‑day running of the home, ensuring high standards of care, compliance, and staff management.

Key responsibilities
  • Supporting the Registered Manager with daily operations
  • Staff supervision, support, and rota management
  • Ensuring compliance with CQC standards and internal policies
  • Maintaining a safe, person‑centred care environment
  • Supporting quality improvement and inspection readiness
Candidate requirements
  • Previous experience as a Team Leader or Deputy Manager is highly desirable
  • Background in health and social care
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • Confident managing staff teams and supporting service delivery
  • Non‑clinical background considered
