Financial Controller | £65,000 - £70,000 | Wigan | Manufacturing | No.1 in Finance Supporting an MD | Support from an external FD

Axon Moore has partnered with a exciting manufacturing business in Wigan to recruit a Head of Finance (Financial Controller).

About the business:

This business is a large SME that has undergone a large capex investment over the past three years, transforming their production processes and boosting their revenue month-on-month. They're in a really exciting period as they continue to grow and are casting their eyes to the next 3-5 year period regarding what's possible.

Where does the role fit?:

The Financial Controller will be the no.1 in Finance on site, reporting to, and being the right hand person to the Managing Director. The new Financial Controller will benefit from a peer in a sister-company, and mentoring from an external Group FD.

Impact:

The Financial Controller will have a strong finance team, releasing them to oversee finance but focus on the operational and commercial running of the business. The Managing Director expects to hire a strong manufacturing accountant who can help bring efficiencies, develop site KPI's, advise on strategy etc.

They're looking to appoint a strong leader, and they have a strong track record of promoting previous people in this role into FD's within their wider portfolio.

Profile:

- Have hands-on manufacturing experience
- Possess leadership qualities
- Happy to do 5 days on-site in Wigan (flexibility where needed but policy is 5 days due to manufacturing nature)
