We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised Administration Assistant to join our team. This varied and rewarding role sits at the heart of the school’s operations, supporting staff, students, and visitors while helping ensure our day-to-day cover arrangements and reception duties run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet visitors and parents with a professional, welcoming reception and switchboard service
- Coordinate daily staff cover using our school management system, ensuring effective cover for absent staff
- Support supply staff on arrival—providing essential information and safeguarding guidance
- Maintain accurate records of staff absences and cover allocations
- Assist with clerical and administrative duties such as correspondence, reports, and event logistics
- Ensure the reception area reflects the welcoming ethos of the school and upholds safeguarding standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A calm, proactive approach and professional demeanour
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Competence with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace tools
- Experience in a school or similar setting desirable, but not essential
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
