Job description

Your new company
Excellent opportunity to join a charitable organisation as Deputy Head of Property reporting directly to the Head of Property. You will be joining an organisation which is a substantial property and landowner across Essex and will be responsible for managing a competent and well-established team of Building Surveyors and Project Managers. You will be responsible for a diverse property portfolio including residential and listed buildings.


Your new role
As the Deputy Head of Property, you will be primarily responsible for managing the property team and providing advice and guidance around projects. You will be responsible for efficient resource planning to ensure the successful management of the estate. You will also be required to be involved in the project management of major projects to support the overall property strategy, which will include managing the procurement and delivery of building contracts and execution of planned maintenance programmes. You will also oversee the delivery of periodic survey programmes and manage the property budget.


What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful for this role, you should hold a professional qualification such as MRICS or MCIOB. Experience of managing teams is essential and experience working with residential property is beneficial. You should have previously delivered construction projects to include project planning and specification writing and prior experience of working with listed buildings is preferable. A driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.
