Restaurant Supervisor - National Theatre
£38,000 per annum (£30k basic + £8k TRONC) plus benefits; 40 hours per week.
NT Food & Drink is a unique and dynamic partnership driven by Levy and KERB, embedded within the National Theatre on the South Bank. Our ambition to create a world‑class hospitality destination at the heart of the world’s most iconic theatre is powered by our progressive people‑first approach, centred on environmental and social sustainability. We celebrate inclusivity with purpose, putting the development and progression of our future leaders centre stage. Our shared goal is to ensure all food and drink spaces support the NT's overall values, vision, and culture.
As Restaurant Supervisor, you are an integral part of the front‑of‑house leadership team, reporting to the Restaurant Manager. You lead daily service on the floor, ensuring smooth operations and delivering consistently high levels of guest experience. This is a hands‑on role where presence, energy, and attention to detail are essential.
You support the training and development of the front‑of‑house team, manage service delivery and floor operations, and maintain a service culture aligned with our vision of World Class Hospitality. Acting as a key link between restaurant management and the wider team, you set the tone for each service and uphold the highest standards.
The restaurant is a timeless British brasserie within an iconic landmark building – a marquee restaurant and bar that reflects the high standards of the National Theatre itself. The menu showcases the very best of British produce: shellfish from Devon, Cornwall, and the north coast of Scotland; beef and lamb from the Lake District; and vegetables and salads from small organic farms across Kent. The bar offers a list of traditional cocktails alongside a large‑format wine list, balancing classic varietals with modern natural wine styles.
Levy, part of Compass Group, is known for delivering exceptional food, drink, and hospitality experiences at world‑renowned venues such as Wimbledon, Twickenham, and Tottenham Hotspur. Focused on sustainability, diversity, and inclusion, Levy prides itself on using sustainably sourced ingredients and providing outstanding service. The company is committed to achieving Net Zero by 2027, partnering with the British Paralympic Association, and ensuring all team members earn at least the Real Living Wage or London Living Wage.
We welcome candidates to this Restaurant Supervisor vacancy from all backgrounds to join us in creating a supportive, equitable workplace where everyone can thrive and contribute. Together, we achieve greatness. We celebrate diversity and foster inclusion, valuing every individual’s unique strengths. Our diverse team fuels creativity, innovation, and success.
