About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Integrity & Risk Manager to join our Compliance team. You will be responsible for Speak Up (Whistleblowing) governance, engagement, and operations (including the management of sensitive investigations), delivering enhancements to HL's Policy Framework, and supporting on the management of Gifts & Hospitality.

What you'll be doing
  • Lead by example, setting an open and transparent culture where colleagues are actively encouraged and empowered to speak up.
  • Designs and facilitates ongoing communications and awareness campaigns for increasing the visibility of the Speak Up framework.
  • Conducts confidential, evidence-led investigations including, where required: triage concerns; create interview plans; attend and conduct interviews; produce thorough and comprehensive investigative reports; act as point of contact for reporters, providing support and advice where required.
  • Designs and produces MI and reporting on the policy framework, gifts & hospitality and Speak Up arrangements.
  • Builds collaborative relationships with relevant stakeholders across the business.
  • Manages relationships on an ongoing basis with key external partners.
  • Contribute towards the delivery and implementation of key Policy framework work-streams and enhancements.
  • Support the operation of the Gifts & Hospitality framework and associated oversight.
About you
  • Experience of working in a commercial Financial Services organisation, in a highly regulated environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills with an ability to interpret complex data.
  • Experience in the handling, review and triage of workplace disclosures.
  • Skilled in investigative interviewing, including of witnesses and subjects of investigations.
  • Accomplished in forging effective relationships at all levels, skilled at influencing, negotiating and managing challenging conversations with ease.
  • Experience within a risk, compliance, audit or investigative role.
  • Understanding, and experience of working within the three-lines of defence.
Interview process

This will be a two-stage interview process, consisting of competency and behavioural based questions and a task.

Working Schedule

This role is permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We have returned to the office, however for this role we offer a flexible working pattern.
