Job summary
A prominent local authority in the UK is seeking a Head of Waste Operations to oversee its complex waste management services, including 21 Recycling Centres and multi-million pound budgets. This leadership role demands strategic oversight, operational management, and effective stakeholder engagement to enhance service delivery and environmental sustainability. Responsibilities
- Oversee management of 21 Recycling Centres and multiple landfill sites.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations for services.
- Manage operational budgets around £90m per annum.
- Directly manage a team of 7 staff and manage 200+ operational staff.
- Work closely with Waste Collection Authorities across Essex.
