We’re recruiting on behalf of a long‑established UK software provider that delivers complex digital solutions to organisations across the public sector and regulated industries. With continued growth and the rollout of a next‑generation cloud platform, they’re looking to appoint a Business Analyst with strong skills across API integrations, data analysis, and reporting solutions.
This position sits within a growing professional services team, working directly with customers to help them integrate their internal systems, improve data flow, and deploy modern reporting capabilities. You’ll act as the bridge between the client’s technical needs and the software product suite — blending consultancy, analysis, and hands‑on technical work.
Designing and delivering integration solutions that connect customer systems with the core software platform, ensuring smooth, secure, and reliable data exchange.
Leading API‑focused consultancy, advising customers on best approaches across REST and broader integration patterns.
Developing reporting and analytics outputs, including dashboards and structured data sets using tools such as Power BI, Excel, SQL, or similar BI platforms.
Working closely with stakeholders to interpret business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solution designs.
Supporting software implementations, configuration, and end‑to‑end onboarding for new and existing clients.
Troubleshooting integration issues, data inconsistencies, and reporting challenges — providing expert support and clear technical guidance.
Producing documentation for integrations, data flows, reporting frameworks, and technical architectures.
Contributing to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance customer solutions.
Strong background as a Technical Business Analyst, Integration Consultant, or Professional Services Consultant.
Working knowledge of API technologies (REST essential; SOAP, GraphQL, or similar advantageous).
Experience with data formats such as JSON/XML/CSV, along with proven ability to map and validate data flows.
Solid understanding of reporting tools — Power BI, Excel, SQL, or equivalent BI/visualisation platforms.
Ability to analyse problems, investigate inconsistencies, and propose structured technical solutions.
Strong communication skills, comfortable working with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Exposure to public sector, infrastructure, utilities, asset management, or other large‑scale service environments.
Experience using API testing/documentation tools like Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI.
Knowledge of API security practices, secure data transmission, encryption, and validation.
Understanding of cloud services, middleware, or integration platforms.
Join a stable, employee‑centric organisation offering long‑term career prospects.
Work on technically engaging projects involving integrations, reporting frameworks, and digital transformation close to real‑world operations.
Hybrid working pattern built around flexibility and work‑life balance.
Opportunity to influence ongoing improvement and be part of a growing professional services team.
