Qualifications

• Experience is preferred but not mandatory, training can be provided.

Job description

Job Overview

As a Kitchen Steward / Porter, you will be responsible for assisting the Kitchen Team in disposing of kitchen waste and deep cleaning of the kitchen and wash‑up areas. Your duties will include maintaining a high standard of hygiene and safety, sweeping and mopping floors, and operating pot‑washing machinery as directed by the Kitchen Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Kitchen Team with disposal of kitchen waste.
• Perform deep cleaning of kitchen and wash‑up areas.
• Maintain hygiene and safety standards.
• Carry out cleaning duties specified by the Kitchen Manager (e.g., sweeping, mopping, pot‑washing).

Working Hours & Contracts

Contracts are offered on a flexible basis, meaning your hours and days may vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours.

• Rajindas – 48 hours per 4‑week period – Flexible evenings and weekends.
• Sports Cafe – 150 hours per 4‑week period – Flexible for weekdays and weekends.
• Pancake House – 80 hours per 4‑week period – Flexible for weekdays and weekends.

Work hours include public/bank holidays and rota‑based shifts during Christmas and New Year.

Desirable Requirements

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward / Porter.
• Ability to work in an organised manner and remain calm under pressure.
