The role demands proven leadership, management experience, and a strong understanding of relevant legislation. You will maintain high standards of supervision and team performance, ultimately aiming for positive outcomes. Attractive benefits include 40 days annual leave and flexible working options.
Are you a qualified Social Worker with proven leadership and management knowledge, and experience supporting children and families in the Social Work or Early Help field? The primary objective of this role is to ensure safety and positive outcomes for all children through the delivery of high‑quality Targeted Early Help services. You will play a pivotal role in fulfilling our organisational vision and strategic priorities by overseeing and enhancing the performance and delivery of Targeted Early Help support for children and families across the Team.
About the role As a Team Manager, you will lead and manage a team by overseeing staff development, performance management of seniors and early help practitioners within Early Help. Your role will be key in effective service delivery by properly assessing, prioritising and taking action on all casework to meet the needs of children and families. You will provide high‑quality supervision and appraisal to maintain consistent standards across the team. Supervision will be used to reflect on professional practice and to identify areas for ongoing development. In terms of management oversight, it is essential to ensure that Early Help interventions comply with relevant legislation, policy requirements and performance targets. You will be able to address poor practice within the team, escalating issues when necessary, while also promoting and embedding best practices throughout the team and division. Additionally, you will offer expert advice on casework and ensure accurate & current records and information systems to support sound practice.
If you meet the above criteria and would like the opportunity to lead a team of early help professionals to achieve positive outcomes for children and families, we encourage you to apply for this opportunity.
