PhixFlow is an established (since 2004), highly respected company delivering a unique low-code platform for complex data integration and business process automation. The customers we partner with include major Telcos, Utilities, and Financial Services, to solve their most intricate business challenges. We are looking for a highly capable Full-Stack Engineer who will serve as a core innovator driving the evolution of our PhixFlow platform across three critical areas :

1. Enterprise Integration : Designing and implementing features for seamless data exchange with mission-critical systems like SAP and Salesforce.
2. Intuitive UX / DX (Developer Experience) : Extending the platform's reach by designing and building highly intuitive user experiences for less technical business users.
3. AI Integration : Researching and developing new features that integrate AI capabilities into the platform to enhance automation and decision-making.

Your ability to learn quickly and reason through complex systems is critical, ensuring we balance innovation with performance, security, and usability.

• Proven experience working effectively within large, enterprise-scale codebases.
• Solid proficiency in Java (deep server-side development and platform architecture familiarity).
• Strong experience with JavaScript, TypeScript and React (front-end development, with an interest in UX / UI principles).
• Expertise in SQL and designing / optimising relational database schemas.
• We seek deep understanding of fundamental technical skills, including clean code principles and complex system design.

• Working Pattern: Flexibility is Key : Available as Full-Time (5 days) or equivalent to a 4-day week (Salary adjusted pro-rata).
• Salary Range (Full-Time) : £55,000 to £62,000 per annum.
• Work Model : Remote-First.
• Development : 5 dedicated training days per year for professional growth.

Salary will be determined based on the successful candidate's proven experience, demonstrated technical expertise, and agreed working pattern. Offers will typically be structured as follows for Full-Time (5-day) work :

• £55,000 - £57,000 : For candidates who meet core skills and demonstrate strong learning aptitude, but require moderate ramp-up time on the platform.
• £58,000 - £62,000 : For highly experienced candidates who exceed the minimum requirements, have significant and demonstrated expertise in complex integration, and can immediately contribute to the innovation and architectural evolution of the PhixFlow platform.

Experience with, or a strong interest in, the following or similar technologies and concepts is highly valuable :

• Backend : Java, Spring, Hibernate, multi-threading / concurrency, Quarkus / Micronaut.
• Frontend : JavaScript, TypeScript, React, D3.js, SVG, CSS.
• Database : SQL (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle), Data Modelling.
• Infrastructure : Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS), Git.
• Advanced Topics : AI / LLM (Large Language Models), Small Language Models, Fine Tuning, Security, Design Patterns.
