About the role

We’re looking for a proactive and collaborative Business Development Coordinator to join our ambitious team in Derby. This is a key role that will support and drive strategic business development initiatives across our East Midlands offices, working closely with Partners, Directors, and Senior Management.

You’ll be instrumental in helping us build strong relationships with clients, professional connectors, and prospects, while enhancing our visibility and market intelligence. If you’re highly organised, confident, engaging with stakeholders, and passionate about making an impact, we’d love to hear from you.

The important work you will be doing
  • Coordinating and communicating regularly with senior stakeholders to plan and monitor BD activities
  • Facilitating collaboration across service lines and offices to ensure cohesive BD efforts
  • Managing and maintaining BD activity within our CRM system (Workbooks), including performance tracking and data accuracy
  • Representing the firm at networking events, client functions, and industry gatherings across the East Midlands
  • Monitoring competitor activity and maintaining a strategic database of competitor clients
  • Supporting the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities, including tailored approaches for target clients
  • Contributing to pitch documents and ensuring best practices are followed
  • Handling website enquiries and directing them to the most appropriate teams to maximise conversion
  • Gathering insights from market trends and competitor analysis to inform the BD strategy

  • Proven experience in a business development, marketing, or client-facing role
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (ideally Workbooks) and data analysis
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident in taking initiative
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple offices
  • Knowledge of the East Midlands business landscape is desirable
