Job description
Overview

CNC Recruitment is seeking a Stores Coordinator to join our client in Ilminster area - a well-respected automotive company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for controlling the efficient operation of the store or warehouse, ensuring inventory is accurately tracked, stock is properly stored and displayed, and supplies from goods inwards are managed in a timely manner.

  • Job type – temp to perm
  • Location – Ilminster
  • Working hours - Monday to Wednesday 07:00am to 16:30pm; Thursday 07:00am to 16:10pm
  • Salary - £13.89 an hour, weekly pay
Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading of Goods
    • Unloading of all goods, except for raw materials, when required.
    • Liaise with Visual Inspection, Packing and Despatch Manager to assist with outgoing shipments when required.
    • Assist with the loading of vehicles when required.
  • Finished Goods Stock
    • Withdraw finished goods from stock based on customer orders or business demands.
    • Put away finished goods stock and maintain accurate location information on ERP system.
    • Manage finished goods stock to ensure it is kept in an organized, safe and tidy manner.
    • Perform perpetual inventory checks as needed to ensure accurate stock levels are maintained.
    • Support and make preparations for the perpetual stock checks including the pre counting of obsolete stock and ensuring all stock is clearly labelled.
    • Assist in the despatch area to ensure orders are externally packed to customer specifications, when required.
  • Goods Inwards
    • Check all incoming deliveries (excluding raw material) – check overall condition of receipt and check against the purchase order and supplier delivery note.
    • Liaise with purchasing, concerning any discrepancies.
    • Hand the delivery notes to the Material Planner for the booking in of incoming deliveries to create a GRN ref and filing of paperwork.
    • Assist with the delivery of goods to the person/department who requested them.
  • General
    • Assisting in day-to-day activities within the department as required.
    • Picking of part finished goods against batch cards for production orders.
    • Adopt 5S principles within the stores and warehouse areas for best practice.
    • Monitoring and control of packaging consumables.
    • Additional filing activities will be required to support the closure of orders.
Qualifications
  • Essential
    • Excellent organisational skills in terms of managing varied tasks consistently and managing your own time effectively. Willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing demands.
    • The ability to use a good standard of numeracy and literacy skills to complete accurate data input tasks, administrative tasks and system checks.
    • Attention to detail and the ability to recall information.
    • A good working knowledge of Access/Excel/Word. Knowledge of an ERP system would be an advantage.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • A positive customer service ethos is required to enable the development of this site service, supported by the ability to work constructively with other teams across all departments.
    • The ability to fulfil the manual handling tasks of the role.
    • The ability to drive a Stacker Truck.
  • Desirable
    • The ability to drive a Forklift.
