Job summary
A healthcare provider in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to join their team. You will support individuals in care homes and home settings by assisting with personal care, daily activities, and medication management. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential for ensuring the highest standards of care. This permanent role offers 22 hours of work per week at a pay rate of £12.21-£12.50 per hour, creating the chance to make a significant difference in the lives of those you care for.
Qualifications
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- Previous experience in care home or home care is desirable.
- Knowledge of health & safety procedures is advantageous.

- Assisting residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Supporting individuals with mobility and daily activities according to personalised care plans
- Administering medication as directed and maintaining accurate records
- Engaging residents in social activities to promote mental and emotional well‑being
- Maintaining a safe and clean environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Communicating effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure consistent care delivery
- Driving residents or equipment when necessary for appointments or outings
- Updating care plans regularly to reflect changing needs and preferences
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of care plans, health & safety procedures, and safeguarding policies is advantageous
- Good IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required
- Strong communication skills to build rapport with residents, families, and colleagues
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation needs
