Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high‑quality care and support to individuals within care homes and home care settings. The role requires excellent communication skills, organisational abilities, and a caring attitude to ensure residents’ needs are met with dignity and respect.

Duties
  • Assisting residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Supporting individuals with mobility and daily activities according to personalised care plans
  • Administering medication as directed and maintaining accurate records
  • Engaging residents in social activities to promote mental and emotional well‑being
  • Maintaining a safe and clean environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Communicating effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure consistent care delivery
  • Driving residents or equipment when necessary for appointments or outings
  • Updating care plans regularly to reflect changing needs and preferences
Experience
  • Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Knowledge of care plans, health & safety procedures, and safeguarding policies is advantageous
  • Good IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required
  • Strong communication skills to build rapport with residents, families, and colleagues
  • Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation needs
