Speech and Language Therapist – Adult Dysphagia, Band 7, in Blackpool, UK. This is an ongoing contract with £30 hourly. What you will do
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat a diverse range of adult patients with dysphagia, tailoring your approach to individual needs.
  • Conduct clinical swallow examinations, including video fluoroscopy, to implement effective treatment strategies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and participate in case discussions.
  • Provide educational sessions to patients, families, and healthcare staff to promote understanding of dysphagia management.

Requirements
  • Possess a degree or equivalent qualification in Speech and Language Therapy along with HCPC registration.
  • Have recent UK or NHS post-qualifying experience as a Speech and Language Therapist, specifically with Adult Dysphagia.
  • Must be competent in video fluoroscopy, enabling enhanced patient assessments and treatment planning.
