Job summary

A UK healthcare provider seeks a Speech and Language Therapist to join a specialist team at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital. Qualifications

  • Experience working with dysphagia and acquired communication disorders within an MDT setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as a specialist practitioner.
  • Strong clinical reasoning skills to diagnose, interpret and manage complex cases.
  • Experience in neuromuscular and spinal disorders is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide an SLT service to patients on general medical wards, HDU, and the spinal injury unit.
  • Run voice, general, and neuro outpatient clinics.
  • Assess complex patients, diagnose conditions, and develop and deliver individualized treatment plans.
  • Deliver training in the management of spinal cord injury patients and tracheostomy management.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for ENT and SLT-led clinics.
  • Support the establishment of an onsite FEES service.
