WRK digital is partnered with Trinitatum, the market leader in test automation for trading and risk management platforms, to recruit a Principal Technologist to work with a founding team to help take their software platform to the next level.

Since 2013, Trinitatum have built a reputation serving global energy trading and financial services organisations with their Triangle Test Automation® platform—reducing testing effort by over 70% and accelerating releases from weeks to days. Their recent strategic partnerships are opening global markets, and they need a technology leader who can scale with them.

You’ll work directly with their CEO Chris Jones and the senior leadership team through three distinct phases:

Rapidly assess, identify gaps, and implement critical foundations—from security posture to operational resilience.

Establish scalable structures and lead the product roadmap. Drive best practice development standards, build security credentials (SOC 2, ISO 27001), and architect for scale across their Azure / .NET stack.

Transition into the CTO role. Lead technical vision, scale engineering capability internationally, and drive market differentiation through technical excellence.

Working shoulder-to-shoulder with Chris, you’ll tackle four key areas:

• Product Security & Compliance – Audit Triangle, implement end-to-end security improvements, and establish pathways to SOC 2 compliance for our highly regulated clients
• Product Roadmap & Strategy – Create a conversational roadmap that balances new features with technical debt whilst guiding customer enhancement priorities
• Best Practice Development Standards – Implement automated testing frameworks, introduce BDD practices, and build a culture of continuous improvement
• Operational Resilience – Eliminate single points of failure, create redundancy, and establish robust business continuity capabilities

You bring :

• Deep .Net mastery—you've built production systems at scale
• Strong Azure architecture experience with cloud-native design patterns
• Demonstrable security framework experience (SOC 2, ISO 27001, ITIL)
• Hands-on automated testing frameworks expertise
• Practical BDD familiarity

More importantly, you are :

• A strategic partner who can balance technical excellence with commercial reality
• Hands‑on when needed—comfortable coding, reviewing architecture, or debugging critical issues
• A team builder ready to recruit, mentor, and develop technical talent
• Customer‑aware—you understand that Triangle serves mission‑critical trading systems where reliability matters
• Growth‑orientated—excited by the journey from specialist consultancy to global software platform

• ETRM / CTRM platform experience
• Financial services or energy sector background
• Experience with Endur / Findur / Allegro systems
• Prior CTO experience in growing software companies
• Track record of successful security certification processes

• Fully remote (UK‑based)
• Fortnightly travel to London for strategic collaboration
• Direct reporting line to CEO
