Job summary
A leading renewable energy developer seeks experienced Project and Construction Managers for utility-scale solar projects in the UK. Successful candidates will oversee project delivery, lead multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with UK grid-connection processes. Candidates must have a proven track record in the UK solar industry and a commitment to long-term engagements starting February 2026. The role requires on-site leadership and full lifecycle project management.
Qualifications

- Strong understanding of UK grid-connection processes is a big advantage.

Responsibilities
- Oversee engineering, construction, and commissioning.

We’re supporting a major international renewables developer delivering two new 55 MW utility-scale solar parks in the UK . They’re now looking for experienced Project Managers and Construction Managers to join on a freelance basis.
If you’ve actually built large solar sites in the UK — and can prove it — you’re exactly who they want to talk to.
You’ll be responsible for full-lifecycle delivery of utility-scale solar projects :
- Day-to-day oversight of engineering, construction and commissioning
- On-site leadership of engineers, subcontractors & civil / electrical teams
- Procurement, supplier coordination & contract negotiation
- Technical evaluation and hands‑on problem-solving
- Driving the project from breaking ground to operational handover
This is real, on-the-ground project delivery — not remote oversight.
This client wants genuine UK solar experience — no inflated CVs.
- Proven track record delivering utility‑scale UK solar farms
- Strong understanding of UK grid‑connection processes — G99 experience is a big advantage
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams on‑site
- Ability to travel to UK project locations as needed
- Commitment to long‑term engagements (1–2+ years)
- Experience with international EPCs
- Strong commercial and supplier negotiation background
- Interviews can move quickly
- Start date : February 2026
- Feedback may slow slightly during Dec due to heavy workloads
