Job summary

A leading consulting firm in the UK is seeking a Project Manager for a 6-month contract. This hybrid role requires expertise in project delivery within the water utilities sector. You will lead a team, ensure project governance, manage risks, and handle procurement. Candidates should have a strong background in infrastructure projects and experience delivering complex projects. Competitive daily rate of £400, inside IR35 regulations.

Project Manager | 6-month contract | Inside IR35, £400 a day | Hybrid

Fuelled by an urge to challenge the norm, we bring together an unrivalled solution to the change and transformation challenges across the UK Government, Defence Industry, Transport, Utility and Digital, Data & Technology (DDaT) Sectors.

We are currently looking for a Project Manager with experience in construction within the water utilities industry to join our team. Our Project Management Consultant will be part of a team responsible for achieving the overall budget and quality objectives of the project / programme of works. They will also ensure that the project schedule is established and maintained within prescribed schedule and budget parameters.

Key responsibilities :

  • Ensuring effective project governance and assurance is in place using Assurance functions as appropriate
  • Assignment of competent project team resources
  • Leading and motivating a team of professionals, setting objectives and goals
  • Procurement including negotiations with supply community
  • Correctly capturing and maintaining compliance with the risk information in Programme Insight Manager
  • Management of Risk and Change at project level
  • Seeking approval of Change at project level
