About the Role:

As a Primary ALN Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with class teachers and the school SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to provide essential support to children with a range of needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting pupils with ALN/SEN in both classroom and 1:1 settings
• Assisting with the planning and delivery of engaging, accessible lessons
• Encouraging positive behaviour and social interaction
• Monitoring and supporting children's emotional and academic progress
• Helping to prepare classroom resources and maintain an organised learning environment
• Collaborating with teachers, support staff, and external specialists
• Providing personal care and ensuring pupils' safety and wellbeing as needed

We’re Looking For:

• Experience supporting children or young people, especially those with ALN/SEN, is a bonus but not essential
• A positive, nurturing, and proactive attitude
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• A genuine interest in education and child development
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not mandatory
