Aviation Recruitment experts Optime are searching for experienced Baggage Handlers to join a well-respected and successful client at Bristol Airport. PLEASE NOTE: APPLICANTS MUST HOLD A FULL VALID UK DRIVING LICENCE.

Start Date:

• 28th April 2025
• 2nd June 2025

Key Duties:

• Processing baggage for onward travel, using manual and automated systems.
• Operating specialist equipment within the Baggage Handling Unit.
• Delivering baggage to aircraft side in preparation for loading.
• This is a manual role; you will need to be physically fit and able to repetitively lift and move luggage up to 30KG in weight.
• Please note this role takes place both indoor and outdoor and you will experience all weather conditions.
• Obtain your ADP (Airside Driving Permit) within your initial training where you will be expected to transport luggage airside safely and securely.

Shifts:

The Airport is operational 7 days per week and candidates will be working on a 5 on 3 off rolling rota. This could be subject to change!

An example of the shift hours:

• Day 1: 0300 - 1200
• Day 2: 0330 - 1230
• Day 3: 0400 - 1330
• Day 4: 1230 - 2200
• Day 5: 1000 - 2030

Requirements:

• Full manual driving licence.
• Good attention to detail.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative, while being part of a team.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Five years fully checkable reference history.
• Ability to pass Criminal Record Check (CRC).
