Job Description

Do you want to join a skilled and talented maintenance team, taking care of the baggage handling system in Heathrow T4?
With BEUMER Group, you will be part of a family-owned company within intralogistics with more than 5,600 colleagues across the globe and rapidly growing.
Join us to take on a vital role in the onsite Maintenance Support Team
Reporting to the Airport Service Manager, you will be joining our Terminal 4 Maintenance Support Team at Heathrow Airport. We take care of everything related to our installed base; from Hotline support and spare parts to residential service and maintenance.

You will be part of the maintenance team in T4 in Heathrow who are responsible for all service and maintenance on our systems. Your tasks will include:

  1. Carry out repairs and maintenance tasks on the system
  2. Perform electrical and mechanical tasks (including motors, bearings and belts) including analytical troubleshooting in planned as well as reactive environments
  3. Ensure all PPM schedules are completed within agreed timescales
  4. Able to deal with any control technical faults
  5. Support on identifying problematic faults and rectify and monitor performance on a continual basis
  6. Perform systems analysis on various systems, including S7 PLC, Profibus, etc.
  7. Support existing site based BEUMER Group Maintenance colleagues
  8. Work as part of a team and also be comfortable working on your own

Qualifications

Collaborative specialist with hands-on experience
To succeed in the role you need to have a customer-focused mindset, as your most important role is to make sure that the system is running smoothly. We imagine that you have a proactive attitude and are capable of meeting targets and tight deadlines and are capable of self-learning with supporting documentation. Moreover, we imagine that:

  1. You need to hold relevant qualifications in either mechanical or electrical, for example, City and Guilds/NVQ or an ONC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  2. You hold some experience from a similar role, preferably within sortation and distribution or a fast moving production environment
  3. You may have knowledge of Emergency Stop Systems and Safety Supervision Systems
  4. You have excellent communication skills and solid IT skills, primarily with Microsoft Office applications

Additional Information

- Working a popular 12 hour shift pattern (4 on and 4 off - days and nights)
- Covering a 24 hours/7 day operation including bank holidays
