Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic L1 Deskside Support technician to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will provide first-level technical support for hardware and software issues, ensuring smooth and efficient resolution of user problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to and resolve user issues via phone, email, or in-person visits.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems on desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems.
- Document and track issues in the IT ticketing system, ensuring timely follow-up and closure.
- Provide support for remote users and ensure connectivity to the network and systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as software updates, patches, and backups.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through prompt and efficient support.
- English knowledge is a must.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; IT-related certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
- Proven experience in a technical support role, preferably in a deskside support capacity.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, as well as common software applications.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality support.
Working Conditions
- Office-based position with occasional requirements for remote support.
- May require lifting and moving of computer hardware and peripherals.
- Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours, if needed.
