Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic L1 Deskside Support technician to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will provide first-level technical support for hardware and software issues, ensuring smooth and efficient resolution of user problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to and resolve user issues via phone, email, or in-person visits.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems on desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems.
  • Document and track issues in the IT ticketing system, ensuring timely follow-up and closure.
  • Provide support for remote users and ensure connectivity to the network and systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as software updates, patches, and backups.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate and resolve complex issues.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through prompt and efficient support.
  • English knowledge is a must.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; IT-related certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
  • Proven experience in a technical support role, preferably in a deskside support capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, as well as common software applications.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality support.

Working Conditions

  • Office-based position with occasional requirements for remote support.
  • May require lifting and moving of computer hardware and peripherals.
  • Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours, if needed.
