The mission of Amadeus’ Hotel IT team is to design and deliver high performance systems that can process tens of thousands of requests per second and return the highest level of accuracy in the fastest response time. Our SaaS platforms are designed to serve millions of users who are seeking information and reservations from tens of thousands of hotels offering millions of hotel rooms around the world. Utilizing our proven ability to build and deploy mission critical software for the global travel industry, we are creating the next generation of technology solutions for the hospitality industry including: reservations and distribution, high-volume data acquisition from heterogeneous sources, sophisticated search engines, payment processing, hotel operations, business intelligence, and revenue management. The Amadeus Hotel Platform is a SOA solution delivering a fully centralized reservation system for large hotel chains. New customer needs will require evolution of the platform.
Purpose
The functional architect is a functional expert responsible for the design of solutions for our customers, ensuring consistency with Amadeus product vision.
You are the bridge between the customer facing teams / product managers and the internal Amadeus development teams. You participate in customer calls when detailed knowledge is needed.
You can be involved during various phases of customer programs (pre-sales, discovery, high level solutioning, detailed solutioning, ...).
Candidate enjoys mixing business acumen and technical knowledge, is skilled at managing stakeholders, understanding customer requirements from a business and a functional / technical perspective, balancing the need of Amadeus against customer demands, designing solutions, communicating and coordinating with internal teams.
Scope of current position is Hotel IT Central Reservation Systems.
