Who We Are

Genoskin is a life science company with operations in Toulouse, France, and Salem, MA, dedicated to reducing the risks associated with drug, vaccine, medical device, and cosmetic development through advanced non-clinical testing solutions.

We operate a hybrid business model, combining CRO services with the manufacturing of proprietary human skin models and primary human mast cells. Our bio-stabilized, immunocompetent, and injectable skin platforms, together with our immune cell systems, offer early access to high-quality human data. These technologies serve as reliable, ethical alternatives to animal testing, supporting more predictive and sustainable research and development.

To deliver high-impact results, we integrate our biological platforms with cutting-edge analytical technologies—including next-generation transcriptomics, multiplexed proteomics, flow cytometry, spatial biology, and advanced bioinformatics—to generate actionable insights that accelerate therapeutic development while reducing cost, time, and risk.

As we expand our operations globally, we are seeking a Vice President of Global Scientific Operations to lead scientific and operational excellence, support global scale-up, and ensure strategic alignment across all sites.

Job Summary

As Vice President of Scientific Operations, you will lead Genoskin’s global non-clinical CRO activity, with a mandate to scale our scientific service capabilities and ensure scientific excellence, operational efficiency, and high-quality client delivery.

You will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of Genoskin’s contract research services, including study design, execution, quality control, reporting, and client engagement. Your focus will be on growing the CRO activity in line with Genoskin’s global expansion strategy, particularly by strengthening the scientific team, optimizing workflows, and ensuring alignment with R&D, Marketing and commercial teams.

This role requires strong expertise in skin immunology, histology (H&E), immunofluorescence, and emerging spatial biology technologies, which are at the heart of Genoskin’s data-driven approach.

This role is a core member of Genoskin’s Executive Committee, actively contributing to weekly operational and commercial reviews as well as quarterly strategic planning and decision-making. You will work closely with the CEO and other executive leaders to help shape and scale a differentiated CRO offering based on Genoskin’s proprietary skin and immune models.

Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic & Scientific Leadership
  • Define and implement operational and scientific strategies that align with Genoskin’s business objectives.
  • Lead the execution of non-clinical studies, ensuring rigorous study design, implementation, and timely report delivery.
  • Oversee the production teams, ensuring that skin models and mast cells manufacturing follows Genoskin’s quality standards, timelines, and SOPs.
  • Maintain and enhance quality control, regulatory compliance, and scientific integrity in all operations-related activities.
  • Actively contribute as a core member of Genoskin’s Executive Committee, not only by providing updates, insights, and recommendations on laboratory operations, but also by helping drive the company’s overall direction and shaping its long-term strategy.
2. Laboratory & Team Management
  • Lead and mentor Study Directors, Scientists, and Group Managers across sites to ensure strong execution and scientific rigor.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and continuous development of the CRO team to meet growing project demand and technical complexity.
  • Ensure smooth coordination and communication with the production teams providing skin and mast cell models for the studies.
  • Collaborate with the Site Directors to align resources, infrastructure, and timelines between services and production.
3. Client Engagement & Study Oversight
  • Support business development and project scoping by providing technical and operational input during pre-sales or proposal phases.
  • Ensure transparent communication with clients, proactively managing expectations and delivering high-quality outputs.
  • Strengthen customer engagement, ensuring that study results and technical reports are clearly communicated to clients.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with R&D to identify innovation opportunities and integrate new assays, biomarkers, and technologies into the CRO offering.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to strengthen positioning and visibility of Genoskin’s service capabilities.
  • Support Finance in budget planning, resource allocation, and performance monitoring for the CRO activity.
5. Operational Excellence & Process Optimization
  • Identify and implement improvements in laboratory workflows, study coordination, and project management.
  • Promote best practices in quality assurance, data integrity, documentation, and compliance.
  • Contribute to the digitalization and scalability of scientific operations through process automation and system optimization.
Qualifications & Experience
Education & Scientific Background
  • PhD + Postdoc in Immunology, Immunotoxicology, Toxicology, or a related field.
  • Strong expertise in scientific operations, preclinical toxicology, and laboratory management. Hands‑on experience with Flow cytometry, multiplex imaging, RNA sequencing, histology, immunofluorescence, and spatial tissue profiling is highly valued.
Professional Experience
  • 10+ years of experience leading scientific operations in a CRO, biotech, or pharmaceutical environment.
  • Proven experience managing cross‑functional teams, including Study Directors and laboratory personnel at the global level.
  • Deep understanding of non‑clinical regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and oversee multiple complex projects.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a track record of effectively collaborating across departments.
Preferred Skills
  • Prior involvement in Executive Leadership roles in a CRO is strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting business development efforts, including customer interactions and proposal validation.
Why Join Genoskin?

Genoskin offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of non‑clinical research at the intersection of science, innovation, and ethical responsibility. As Vice President, Global Scientific Operations, you will join a purpose‑driven company that is redefining drug and vaccine development through its proprietary ex vivo human skin models and immunoprofiling technologies.

You will :
  • Report directly to the CEO and serve as a trusted strategic partner in scaling operations and driving company growth.
  • Play a key executive role as a core member of the Executive Committee, contributing to high‑level decision‑making and strategic alignment.
  • Lead the expansion and transformation of scientific operations globally.
  • Drive scientific and operational excellence, collaborating closely with Sales, R&D, Finance, and Marketing to deliver high‑impact outcomes for top‑tier pharmaceutical and biotech clients.
  • Join a mission‑driven company that promotes ethical, human‑relevant science and is committed to replacing animal testing with sustainable alternatives.

This role is ideal for a hands‑on leader with a strategic mindset who is ready to scale operations, empower teams, and contribute to a better, more predictive future for drug development.
