**Job description**:




**Eurecat is searching for a Researcher or a Data Scientist professional interested in developing Responsible Artificial Intelligence - with emphasis on explainable AI (XAI) or privacy - R&D; projects.**

**DATA SCIENCE & BIG DATA ANALYTICS RESEARCHER**

**Functions and Responsibilities**:

- Knowing the state of the art
- Discussing with stakeholders to understand and shape business and research problems
- Identifing and gathering data, formulating hypotheses, and testing them
- Designing and implementing technological solutions to solve previously described problems. It includes conding (mostly in Python and using AI libraries)
- Leading tasks or work packages in multi-partners projects (european, national and/or local)
- Reporting the results to different people involved in the project (teammates, project stakeholders, etc)
- Seeking funding opportunities and take part in the drafting of proposals

**Requirements**:
Studies and Knowledge:

- Holding a bachelor, master or PhD in Machine Learning, Statistics, Physics, Mathematics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc
- Having prior knowledge in Responsible Artificial Intelligence, Explainable AI (XAI)



or Privacy and/or Algorithmic Fairness, Machine Learning, Statistics, Data Science, Ethical Computation or Mathematics
- Previous experience using Python and different libraries for Data Science, Machine Learning and Deep Learning.

Languages:
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
- A good level in Spanish or Catalan is desirable.
