Santander Consumer Finance is looking for a Senior Risk Data Scientist based in our Boadilla del Monte office.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As a Senior Risk Data Scientist, you will be engaged in:

1. Co-Leading of core-banking credit risk-decisioning ecosystem – Provenir risk engine, database, and analytical environments.
2. Co-Leading of parameterization and maintenance of the risk decision strategy for the different portfolios at SCF Santander countries.
3. Development and implementation of credit risk strategies and frameworks aligned with organizational objectives.
4. Leading technological projects that impact on Credit Risk Decision Strategy and Statistical Analysis Department.
5. Leading automated monitoring processes covering end-to-end admission process - Provenir risk engine system, data, and decision strategies accuracy (scorecards, credit risk policies, decision trees, etc.).
6. Building regular risk admission reports and presenting these to the internal customers.
7. Participation in design, development, and management of relational risk databases and data marts based on automated ETL processes.
8. Participation in implementation and oversight of credit risk API-based processes (counteroffer, pricing, online behavioral scoring, PSD-based processes).
9. Execution of SIT and UAT tests (unit, mass tests) including debugging analysis and conclusions based on test results according to Santander standards.
10. Collaboration with the cross-country teams to ensure risk management practices are integrated effectively through the Santander organization.
11. Support the team members, projects we focus on, and the concept of One Team, One Spirit, One Goal.

EXPERIENCE

• Years of professional experience working with credit risk-decisioning systems and credit risk admission processes in the financial services industry.

Strong credit risk assessment skills with a focus on credit risk admission processes.

Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.

Excellent command of specific software like Python, Java, and SQL.

Experience with relational databases and ETL processes.

Professional experience in AWS technology is an added asset.

You thrive in a dynamic team and enjoy sharing knowledge and learning from others.

Self-organization competencies are important for this position.

EDUCATION

Bachelor/Master of Science in Engineering or Bachelor/Master of Computer Science.

Bachelor/Master in Economics, Finance, Maths, Statistics/Actuary are desired.

You have the willingness to continuously learn, stay open to feedback, and develop yourself on both the professional and the personal levels.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Decision Engines Systems: Provenir, Modelica, Power Curve, or others.

Database: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL, IBM, Oracle, or others.

Comfortable in handling analytical tools/software on AWS platform.

Analytical mindset and demonstrated ability to creatively solve business problems.

Software development and web services technology are an added asset.

Result-driven through collaboration and a proactive attitude.
