What you’ll do

We are looking for an experienced SOC Manager (f/m/d) for our internal SOC to support the development of our new Security Operation Center and manage its operations.

Your tasks will be:

• Setting up and operating the Security Operation Center (SOC)
• Development and implementation of security strategies, guidelines and procedures in the SOC
• Monitoring and analyzing security-related events to detect and respond to threats at an early stage
• Leading and supporting a team of security analysts and engineers
• Collaborate with other IT teams and business units to coordinate security measures, both proactively and reactively in the course of implementing lessons-learned measures following a security incident
• Coordination with external stakeholders for the establishment of security measures and processes
• Reporting to management on security incidents and trends as well as corresponding recommendations for risk mitigation

What you bring

• Several years of experience in the area of SOC, ideally in a managerial position
• Experience in setting up Security Operation Centers
• Experience in managing complex and critical security incidents
• Sound knowledge in several of the following areas: Security Monitoring, Threat Hunting, Detection Engineering, Incident Response, Incident Management, Digital Forensics, Malware Analysis, Threat Intelligence, SOC, Engineering (SIEM/SOAR, Architecture), SOC Metrics & Reporting
• Leadership experience and the ability to motivate and effectively lead teams
• Ideally experience in regulated organizations and environments
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to keep calm under pressure and make sound decisions
• Strong communication skills in German and English to present complex security issues in an understandable way
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 environment with on-call duty on weekends and public holidays
