HEABC leads and supports the strategic planning related to human resources and labour relations on behalf of British Columbia’s publicly funded health employers. HEABC is responsible for negotiating provincial agreements for 138,000 unionized health care employees including nurses, physician residents, ambulance paramedics, health science professionals, and more.
HEABC’s Human Resources, Strategies and Services (HRSS) department is responsible for the implementation and management of several provincial programs that support the recruitment and retention of health professionals in British Columbia. The department is home to the Practice Ready Assessment-British Columbia (PRA-BC) program that assesses internationally trained physicians for provisional licensure to work in communities across BC. As a program, PRA-BC has assessed over 300 family physicians since its inception in 2015. These family physicians were placed in 77 communities throughout BC.
We are currently in need of team members who have a passion for customer service and a keen interest in making an impact across communities in BC.
The successful candidate may be permitted to work in a hybrid model (combination of in-office and flexible work location) and will live within commuting distance of our Vancouver office. This position will have a mandatory 3-month onsite training period.

Reporting to PRA-BC’s Program Manager, the Recruitment Assistant will act as a central point of contact for many program candidates and external partners, and will provide excellent customer service in all forms of communication. Salary Range:$48,476 to $61,771
Typical Hiring Range: $48,476 to $58,830
In determining salary, HEABC considers many factors including the successful candidate’s skillset and experience as well as internal equity. The final salary offer will be at HEABC’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.
