A community support organization in Timmins is seeking a Part Time Transitional Housing Support Worker. The ideal candidate will provide crisis intervention, support survivors of violence, and assist clients in finding safe housing. Candidates should possess strong problem-solving skills, a relevant post-secondary education, and knowledge of feminist and anti-oppression principles. The role involves working 21 hours per week and requires a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.

Timmins and Area Women in Crisis (TAWC) is a dynamic, community-based feminist organization, which provides services on intimate partner abuse and sexual violence to women and their children in the Timmins area. TAWC works within an integrated feminist, anti-racist, anti-oppression framework. The agency administers a sexual assault centre, an emergency shelter as well as second stage housing to abused women and their children.
We are looking for a dynamic woman to join our team in the capacity of Part Time Transitional Housing Support Worker.
