A multi-service agency located in Ontario is seeking a Children's Services Worker for a full-time contract position. The role requires providing protective and preventative services under provincial law, managing adoption and children's services, and participating in court matters. Candidates should possess a four-year degree in relevant fields, have experience in child welfare, and ideally possess skills in assessment and cultural competency. Linck Child, Youth & Family Supports (“Linck”) requires a Children’s Services Worker. This is a contract , full-time (70 hours bi-weekly) position beginning as soon as possible and lasting for three (3) months.
The worker will provide protective and preventative service as mandated under the Child Youth and Family Services Act to families and children; assume complete case management responsibility for a combined adoption and children’s services caseload; assess child functioning; provide therapeutic intervention to children; provide protective services to children which includes: ensuring all of the child’s needs and rights are met; participating as required in Ontario Court of Justice matters pertaining to child protection or youth justice issues; preparing reports, correspondence and documents for internal and external use; providing a variety of services related to adoption.
