Environment Look Development Artist – Animated Feature
Job summary
An international entertainment company is looking for an experienced Environment Look Development Artist to join the team in Vancouver. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in digital art and 4+ years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include developing the look of environments for animated films and authoring materials and textures. A collaborative mindset is essential, along with strong technical skills. The position offers a competitive salary range of C$90,400 to $150,500 CAD yearly.
Qualifications
- 4+ years experience in Environment Look Development or as an Environment Artist in film/television/games.
- Strong technical skills towards achieving an art-directable aesthetic.
- Understanding of the production pipeline is essential.
Responsibilities
- Develop the look of environments and characters in animated films.
- Author materials, textures, and procedural instancing.
- Collaborate with asset supervisors and production designers.
