Hyatt Regency Vancouver is seeking a dynamic, creative, detail‑oriented, friendly and energetic Human Resources Coordinator to join the Human Resources team. The Human Resources Coordinator will assist with greeting all visitors, employees and applicants while maintaining the day-to-day administrative function of a highly active Human Resources office.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update HRIS.
  • Handle incoming calls, walk‑in inquiries and special projects.
  • Coordinate and plan employee relations events.
  • Perform administrative tasks and maintain the office environment.
  • Coordinate employee benefits and update all employee communications (bulletin boards, posters, newsletter).
  • Support and assist with onboarding and recruitment: prepare orientation packages, welcome new hires, reference checks, maintain employee files and provide support for the employment process.
  • Provide support for Health and Safety (Form 7 input, sick claims).

Salary range: 60,000 - 65,000

Visa Requirements

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of Human Resources experience is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of office administration experience, preferably within hospitality.
  • Previous hotel experience is an asset and experience in a unionized environment is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with fluency in English. Knowledge of a second language is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems. HRIS experience is preferred.
  • Strong desire to support and assist others in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi‑task, and stay organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to solve problems, exercise sound judgment, and make well‑reasoned decisions.
  • Ability to maintain a professional, positive, and discreet demeanor, especially when handling sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Energetic, friendly, and a strong team player with a genuine passion for helping others.
  • Creative self‑starter who enjoys organizing and executing employee relations and hotel events.
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills.
