Position: Coordinator, Human Resources
Location: Calgary, AB (Support Office)
Position Type: 6-Month Contract
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team on a 6-month term. This role will provide essential administrative and operational support across key HR functions, helping ensure a seamless employee experience and the smooth delivery of day-to-day HR services.

What you’ll do:
Onboarding & Offboarding
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing offer letters, welcome communications and orientation support.
- Liaise with hiring managers, office and clinic managers, payroll and accounting to ensure readiness prior to the employee’s first day.
- Support offboarding processes, including the preparation of termination documentation, coordination of final pay and benefits information.
- Conduct or coordinate exit interviews and track feedback to identify trends or areas for improvement.
HR Administration
- Draft and issue various employee documents such as promotion letters, salary or title adjustments, leave confirmations, contract renewals, and employment verification letters.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS (Dayforce) and within digital and physical personnel files, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards.
- Support benefits administration, including employee enrollment, changes due to life events, answering employee inquiries, and liaising with benefit providers when needed.
- Partner with the payroll team to ensure timely and accurate processing of all employee lifecycle changes including new hires, terminations, and compensation adjustments.
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and ensure strict confidentiality of employee data.
Reporting & Data Management
- Generate standard and ad hoc HR reports, including but not limited to headcount, turnover, tenure, diversity metrics, and leave tracking.
- Conduct regular audits of HR data to ensure accuracy and integrity within systems and records.
- Support data clean-up and system optimization initiatives.
Employee Support
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies, procedures, benefits, and general workplace matters, providing timely and accurate responses or escalating when necessary.
- Support employee engagement and experience initiatives, such as wellness programs, recognition programs, or social events.
- Assist with the administration and coordination of employee leaves, including sick, parental, and other statutory or discretionary leaves, ensuring proper documentation and communication.
- Provide support on health & safety-related programs and ensure compliance with provincial workplace safety standards.
- Assist in drafting and distributing internal HR communications, ensuring consistent and clear messaging across the organization.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in an HR coordinator, administrator, or generalist role
- Knowledge of employment standards and HR best practices (experience across Alberta/Ontario/BC/SK preferred)
- Proficiency with HRIS systems (Dayforce) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required
- Experience with benefits administration and onboarding processes is an asset
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a service-oriented mindset
