A client of a leading healthcare provider is seeking a Senior Psychologist to join the Children’s Disability Network Team. This position offers an opportunity to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team, providing critical psychological support for children with disabilities and their families. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience and a passion for child-centered care, contributing meaningfully to individual care plans and team initiatives.
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Psychologist to join the Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) based in Athlone. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team, supporting children and young people with complex disabilities and their families in a child- and family-centered model of care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions for children with disabilities.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Physiotherapists.
• Support families and caregivers by offering guidance and intervention strategies.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of individualised care plans.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and participate in service development initiatives.
Requirements:
• Recognised qualification in Psychology and full PSI or CORU registration.
• Minimum of three years post-qualification experience, preferably working with children with disabilities.
• Experience with a variety of psychological assessments and intervention models.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A passion for providing evidence-based, child- and family-centered care.
