We are looking for a vibrant and dynamic Senior Business Analyst to support our Knowledge, Information and Technology Services (KITS) branch. The selected candidate would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.
The successful candidate will be part of the NRC Mercury team and will contribute to network migrations of complex research labs as well as identifying and specifying new IT services required to support research computing needs. These activities will be enhanced through collaboration with key stakeholders and colleagues within and outside of the immediate project team.
As part of the Mercury project team, the incumbent will be responsible for leading key activities including eliciting, analysing, validating, and documenting requirements, including business, functional, non-functional, and transitional requirements as well as working with subject matter experts to determine the best solutions to meet business needs while facilitating migration of technology and labs which support research innovation for Canada.
The incumbent will work at developing and establishing partnerships with NRC’s and partner organizations’ lines of business in order to become fully knowledgeable with their business technology systems, issues and processes. They will work to identify current and future needs and develop requirements; migration plans and strategies for their implementation.
Applicants must demonstrate within the content of their application that they meet the following screening criteria in order to be given further consideration as candidates:
Degree from a recognized university in computer science, engineering, management information systems, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.
A diploma from a recognized college or post-secondary institute in an IT related field combined with extensive experience (at least 5 years) in Business Analysis in the Information Technology or Information Management field may be considered.
* Significant experience is defined as having the depth and breadth of experience that would normally have been gained performing the duties over a period of three (3) years or more.
** Recent is defined as experience acquired within the last five (5) years.
