Job Title: Social Media & Content Specialist (Wine & Entertaining Enthusiast)

Location: Kingsville, ON

Job Type: Permanent- Full-time

Reports to: Marketing Manager

Salary: Based on the experience

Pelee Island Winery & Vineyards Inc., established in 1979, is the largest family-owned private estate winery in Canada, with two primary locations: The main cellar operation in Kingsville, Ontario and the vineyard operation on Pelee Island, the largest island in Lake Erie and the southernmost populated point in Canada. Pelee Island is home to our 600+ acres of vineyard and is considered Canada’s warmest grape-growing region with a winemaking history dating back more than 150 years. We’re seeking a creative, organized, and highly-engaged Social Media & Content Specialist to lead our digital presence across social platforms. This role is perfect for someone who not only lives and breathes social media trends but also has a deep appreciation for wine culture, entertaining, and lifestyle storytelling.

• Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with brand goals
• Create engaging content (photos, videos, reels, stories, lives) that showcases wine, food pairings, entertaining tips, events, and behind-the-scenes moments
• Grow and manage our presence on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, Threads and YouTube
• Partner with influencers, sommeliers, chefs, and content creators to expand reach and drive engagement
• Monitor trends in wine, food, home entertaining, and social media to keep content fresh and relevant
• Respond to DMs, comments, and community engagement in our brand voice
• Analyze performance metrics and adjust strategies for optimal growth and ROI
• Assist with email marketing and blog content where needed
• Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

• 2+ years proven experience in social media management, content creation, or a related field
• Degree in Social Media/ Marketing
• Demonstrated experience building and growing a lifestyle or wine-focused social presence
• Strong visual eye for design, photography, and video (experience with tools like Canva, CapCut, Adobe Suite a plus)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a witty, warm, and sophisticated tone
• Passion for wine, food, and entertaining—bonus points if you know your way around a charcuterie board!
• Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
• Experience in Food & Beverage Industry is an asset.

• Knowledge of wine regions, varietals, and basic tasting techniques
• Experience hosting or planning events
• Understanding of influencer marketing and UGC strategy
• Photography or videography experience
• Canva
