Job summary
A leading architecture firm in Ottawa is seeking a Senior Level Contract Administrator to oversee and manage contracts for architecture and construction projects. This role involves ensuring compliance with contract terms, managing risks, and leading a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, at least 10 years of contract administration experience, and exceptional communication and negotiation skills. A competitive salary range of $90,000 - $145,000 annually is offered.

The ideal candidate will have extensive contract administration experience, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to lead a multidisciplinary team.
- Manage and administer contracts for architecture and construction projects
- Ensure compliance with all contract terms and conditions by all parties
- Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with contracts
- Review and analyze contract documents, including construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure contract requirements are being met
- Negotiate and resolve contract disputes
- Coordinate with legal counsel as needed
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and vendors
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Provide guidance and leadership to junior contract administrators
- Develop and implement best practices for contract administration
- Other duties as assigned by senior management
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in contract administration for architecture or construction projects
- In-depth knowledge of contract law and regulations
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to lead and manage a multidisciplinary team
- Extensive experience with contract management software, such as Procore or Aconex
- Proficient in project management tools, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workload
- Understanding of sustainable and energy-efficient design principles
- Experience with LEED certification is a plus
Salary Range: $90,000 - $145,000 / Annually
