We are currently looking for a Power BI Developer with strong technical fundamentals who enjoys building reports from the ground up. We’re looking for someone with exceptional technical expertise in Power BI, and the ability to create visually engaging dashboards that drive business impact. As a Power BI Developer at Go Analytics, you will own the development and delivery of Power BI reports end-to-end – from understanding business requirements to building optimized data models, writing DAX, and delivering polished, user‑friendly reports. Your primary focus will be on the development side of Power BI: shaping data models, writing and optimizing DAX, implementing report layouts from provided designs, and working with (and around) Power BI’s visual and formatting limitations to deliver high‑quality reports.

You will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure data accuracy, optimize performance, and create intuitive visualizations that make complex data easy to understand.

This role requires a blend of strong technical expertise and problem‑solving skills. The ideal candidate has deep Power BI knowledge and experience with back‑end tools like SQL, relational databases, and ETL processes (Microsoft Fabric experience is a strong asset).

• Thinks in measure first, not calculated columns
• Knows how to "hack" Power BI visuals to match design intent
• Has personally built and delivered Power BI reports end-to-end

• Build Power BI reports and dashboards based on provided designs, mock‑ups, or layout guidance
• Develop and optimize data models (i.e., star schemas, proper relationships, etc.)
• Write and maintain DAX measures with correct filter context and performance in mind
• Use Power Query (M) and SQL to extract, transform, and shape data from multiple sources
• Implement report formatting, interactions, and navigation while working within Power BI’s constraints
• Optimize report performance, refresh times, and model efficiency
• Troubleshoot data issues, incorrect totals, and performance bottlenecks
• Collaborate with internal team members to clarify requirements and iterate on solutions
• Work closely with business stakeholders and clients to understand their reporting needs
• Create technical documentation and user guides
• Deliver demos and training to clients and stakeholders

• 2+ years of hands‑on Power BI development experience, building reports and dashboards end-to-end
• Strong expertise in DAX, Power Query, and data modeling
• Solid SQL and relational databases for data extraction and transformation
• Experience with implementing reports from existing designs or specifications
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written requirements
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a passion for turning complex data into actionable insights
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences
• Portfolio or work samples demonstrating real Power BI development work

• Experience with Power BI performance tools (Performance Analyzer, DAX Studio)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, or Synapse
• Experience working in consulting or client‑facing analytics roles
• Knowledge of other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik) is a plus
• Microsoft PL‑300 (Power BI Data Analyst) certification or equivalent
• Understanding of ETL pipelines and data warehousing best practices

Employment Type: Full‑time
