A consulting firm in business intelligence is looking for a Power BI Developer to build and deliver reports from start to finish. The role involves creating optimized data models, writing DAX, and ensuring data accuracy. Candidates should have at least 2 years of Power BI experience, strong SQL skills, and a passion for transforming data into actionable insights. This full-time position is based in Southwestern Ontario, with an option for hybrid work arrangements.
Go Analytics is a business intelligence consulting firm specializing in delivering data-driven solutions that empower organizations to make strategic decisions with confidence. We help businesses transform raw data into meaningful insights through advanced analytics, compelling visualizations and optimized reporting. We focus on practical, high-quality Power BI solutions that are accurate, performant, and genuinely used by decision-makers.
We are currently looking for a Power BI Developer with strong technical fundamentals who enjoys building reports from the ground up. We’re looking for someone with exceptional technical expertise in Power BI, and the ability to create visually engaging dashboards that drive business impact. If you have a passion for developing high-quality reports, optimizing data models, and developing end-to-end Power BI solutions, we’d love to hear from you!
As a Power BI Developer at Go Analytics, you will own the development and delivery of Power BI reports end-to-end – from understanding business requirements to building optimized data models, writing DAX, and delivering polished, user‑friendly reports. Your primary focus will be on the development side of Power BI: shaping data models, writing and optimizing DAX, implementing report layouts from provided designs, and working with (and around) Power BI’s visual and formatting limitations to deliver high‑quality reports.
You will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure data accuracy, optimize performance, and create intuitive visualizations that make complex data easy to understand.
This role requires a blend of strong technical expertise and problem‑solving skills. The ideal candidate has deep Power BI knowledge and experience with back‑end tools like SQL, relational databases, and ETL processes (Microsoft Fabric experience is a strong asset).
Employment Type: Full‑time
Location: Waterloo, ON, Canada (hybrid preferred)
Contract: 4-month with potential for renewal
If you’re excited about this opportunity and meet the qualifications, we’d love to hear from you! To apply, please complete the application form here (https://forms.office.com/r/zHfHdZzJzY) and send your resume, cover letter, and portfolio/sample Power BI project to klayton@goanalyticsbi.com.
