On behalf of our Private Sector Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Business Intelligence Report Developer to join our Client's team on a contract basis. This role is Hybrid and the Client is based in Markham, ON.

Summary of the Role:
The Business Intelligence Report Developer will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and optimizing BI reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in BI tools, SQL, and data modeling within a hybrid work environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI, Qlik, and SSRS.
• Analyze business requirements to deliver effective reporting solutions.
• Perform ETL processes to integrate data from various sources.
• Write complex SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
• Ensure consistency, accuracy, and security of data within BI platforms.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to enhance reporting capabilities.
• Optimize performance of reports and resolve technical issues.
• Provide end-user documentation and training.
• Stay informed on current BI tools and industry trends.

Core Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in BI development and data visualization.
• Proficiency with Power BI, Qlik, SSRS, or similar BI tools.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
• Strong understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Familiarity with Wealth Management or Financial Services environments.
• Experience with DAX, Python, or R.
• Knowledge of data modeling best practices.
• Ability to analyze complex datasets and generate actionable insights.
• Experience working in hybrid or remote teams.

Terms:
This is a 12-month contract position with a hybrid work arrangement based in Markham, ON. Candidates must be available for both remote and onsite work, with specific onsite requirements to be determined. A background check will be conducted at the offer stage.
