You are the first point of contact for branch staff and need to be comfortable and proficient in dealing with a wide variety of issues and people. Coupled with the diverse learning and project experience opportunities, do you see yourself excited to contribute to:

  • Ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction by maintaining effective communication with end-users and addressing their concerns promptly during core working hours, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Coordinating with other internal IT teams to resolve cross-functional issues and implementing long-term solutions.
  • Overseeing the identification, analysis, and resolution of incidents and problems, ensuring root causes are addressed and documented.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and leading initiatives to enhance service desk efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting PCs, Windows servers, printers, network devices, and peripheral equipment.
  • Providing technical support to staff both in the office and virtually.
  • Installing and supporting common office and engineering software applications.
  • Coaching staff to help expand their technical knowledge and skills in new and existing platforms.
  • Supporting corporate network infrastructure as required.
  • Travelling to our Prince George office as needed.

About You

Our ideal candidate is a graduate of a Computer Technology diploma or related program, with 3 to 5 years of experience in an IT support setting, with an emphasis in a Microsoft environment.

The core skills that will help you succeed here include:

  • You enjoy building relationships and take pride in being in service of others – you are keen to build an understanding of what people need and how you can help them.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and are able to convey complex information to a wide variety of audiences.
  • You have a growth mindset, see your progress as incremental, and you want to learn and grow over time.
  • You are experienced in providing advice, information, and assistance in the use of software applications, hardware, and technology services.
  • You are able to adapt and respond positively to changing conditions, priorities, and technologies.
  • You are collaborative and enjoy working cooperatively and effectively to reach a common goal.
  • You take initiative and can identify areas that need attention and provide workable solutions to improve current systems.
  • You take personal pride and accountability in delivering high-quality solutions for colleagues and team members.
  • A valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence is considered an asset.
