SOMMAIRE

Relevant du Directeur général, le(la) Directeur(rice) Financier(ère) est responsable de la coordination et de la gestion de toutes les activités financières de l’hôtel en vue d’assurer la rentabilité économique de l’entreprise. Il(elle) définit et recommande au directeur général la stratégie financière de l’hôtel ainsi que des moyens requis pour sa mise en œuvre. De plus, il(elle) prépare et révise les budgets, les prévisions, les résultats d’exploitation, les comptes rendus financiers et les déclarations de revenus et assure la gestion des ressources financières de l’entreprise.

PRINCIPALES TÂCHES ET RESPONSABILITÉS

  • Superviser et coordonner les activités financières de l’hôtel;
  • Gérer le département de la comptabilité (comptes payables et comptes recevables) et assurer la supervision des comptes reliés à la fonction;
  • Superviser la préparation du budget annuel et des prévisions mensuelles;
  • Gérer les liquidités de l’entreprise;
  • Maintenir et développer des relations avec les milieux bancaires et financiers censés assurer le soutien financier à l’exploitation de l’Hôtel ;
  • Coordonner et gérer tous les systèmes financiers, tous les contrôles internes ainsi que la stratégie de dépenses d’investissement de l’hôtel ;
  • Préparer et réviser les budgets, les prévisions, les résultats d’exploitation, les comptes rendus financiers et les déclarations de revenus ;
  • Assurer la planification à court et à long terme ainsi que la gestion quotidienne du service ;
  • S’assurer de l’enregistrement exhaustif de tous les revenus générés par l’hôtel ;
  • S’assurer de l’utilisation efficiente des fonds décaissés de l’établissement;
  • Élaborer et communiquer les rapports d’activités à la Direction;
  • Préparer l’analyse des comptes du bilan mensuel et voir au bon fonctionnement du département de la comptabilité;
  • S’assurer de conserver d’une façon sécuritaire tous les contrats, baux et documents légaux, qui pourraient affecter le statut financier de l’hôtel.
  • S’assurer que toutes les lois provinciales/fédérales soient respectées en matière de finances;
  • S'assurer de la bonne marche de la gestion administrative des différents départements;
  • Toutes autres responsabilités connexes reliées à la fonction;

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS ET EXIGENCES

  • Diplôme universitaire en finance, comptabilité économie ou autre domaine pertinent ;
  • DEC en gestion hôtelière ou un équivalent (un atout) ;
  • Expérience en budgétisation et contrôle des coûts;
  • Expérience en gestion du personnel ;
  • Bilinguisme (français et anglais) ;
  • Connaissance de l’anglais de niveau avancé exigé puisque les titulaires de ces postes travaillent avec une clientèle touristique anglophone;
  • Connaissances approfondies des systèmes de gestion et des logiciels comptables ;
  • Faire preuve de leadership;
  • Avoir le sens poussé de l’analyse;
  • Excellentes habiletés pour la communication verbale et écrite;
  • Posséder d’excellentes habiletés interpersonnelles ;
  • Maîtriser les connaissances des principes comptables ;
  • Démontrer des attitudes professionnelles (autonomie, polyvalence, sens de l’initiative et de l’organisation.) ;
  • Aptitudes pour la gestion et le travail en équipe ;
  • Compétences en planification d’affaires et gestion de budget ;
  • Capacité à gérer les priorités ;
  • Excellentes compétences en analyse de statistiques

Summary

Reporting to the General Manager, the Financial Director is responsible for coordinating and managing all financial activities of the hotel to ensure the economic profitability of the business. He/she defines and recommends the hotel’s financial strategy to the General Manager and the means required for its implementation. Additionally, he/she prepares and reviews budgets, forecasts, operating results, financial reports, and tax returns, and manages the company’s financial resources.

Main Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the hotel’s financial activities;
  • Manage the accounting department (accounts payable and receivable) and oversee related accounts;
  • Oversee the preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecasts;
  • Manage the company’s liquidity;
  • Maintain and develop relationships with banking and financial sectors to ensure financial support for the hotel's operations;
  • Coordinate and manage all financial systems, internal controls, and the hotel’s investment spending strategy;
  • Prepare and review budgets, forecasts, operating results, financial reports, and tax returns;
  • Ensure short- and long-term planning as well as daily management of the service;
  • Ensure comprehensive recording of all revenues generated by the hotel;
  • Ensure efficient use of funds disbursed by the establishment;
  • Develop and communicate activity reports to management;
  • Prepare analysis of monthly balance sheet accounts and oversee the smooth functioning of the accounting department;
  • Ensure secure storage of all contracts, leases, and legal documents that could affect the hotel’s financial status;
  • Ensure compliance with all provincial/federal laws regarding finances;
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the administrative management of various departments;
  • All other related responsibilities.

Qualifications And Requirements

  • University degree in finance, accounting, economics, or another relevant field;
  • College diploma in hotel management or equivalent (an asset);
  • Experience in budgeting and cost control;
  • Experience in personnel management;
  • Bilingualism (French and English);
  • Advanced English knowledge required since holders of these positions work with an English-speaking tourist clientele;
  • In-depth knowledge of management systems and accounting software;
  • Demonstrate leadership;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Master knowledge of accounting principles;
  • Demonstrate professional attitudes (autonomy, versatility, initiative, and organizational skills);
  • Skills for management and teamwork;
  • Business planning and budget management skills;
  • Ability to manage priorities;
  • Excellent statistical analysis skills.
