Your area of focus

As General Manager at Auto Gallery of Winnipeg, you’ll be leading a close, high-performing team at a store with a strong presence in pre-owned sales. This is a unique opportunity to run a small but mighty dealership where relationships with customers, staff, and the community are the key to success.

We’re seeking a confident, results-driven leader who brings clarity, accountability, and positive energy to everything they do. You should be decisive under pressure, able to make the right calls, and lead your team with authenticity and respect. The ideal candidate has a strong operational mindset, a passion for the automotive industry, and the ability to inspire a team to consistently exceed expectations while making Auto Gallery of Winnipeg the go-to dealership in the region.

What drives your day-to-day?

  • Provide strategic leadership across all dealership departments, including Sales, Finance, Service, and Parts to ensure seamless operations, alignment with business goals, and a consistent customer experience.
  • Monitor and manage performance metrics across all areas, driving accountability and continuous improvement in profitability, and operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead daily sales operations with a strong focus on vehicle inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels, high turn rates, and strict adherence to the dealership's sales process.
  • Demonstrate operational knowledge of Reconditioning used vehicles, merchandising, and pricing.
  • Demonstrate knowledge related to used vehicle acquisition.
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term strategies for growth, with a focus on market share, revenue expansion, and overall business sustainability.
  • Drive efficiency and profitability in every department, identifying areas for process improvement, cost control, and revenue enhancement through proactive management.
  • Foster a high-performance culture built on accountability, collaboration, and achievement, ensuring team members are aligned with business objectives and inspired to succeed.
  • Effectively lead, motivate, and retain top talent through clear communication, performance coaching, and a strong commitment to personal and professional development.
  • Build strong, respectful relationships across all levels of the dealership, from front-line staff to department leaders, while maintaining a positive, team-oriented work environment.
  • Deliver consistent bottom-line results while upholding all AutoCanada policies and governance standards, ensuring regulatory and procedural compliance.
  • Ensure dealership compliance with manufacturer franchise standards, including target achievement, facility requirements, and customer experience benchmarks.
