The Account Executive, Group Benefits will focus on growing their Group Benefits portfolio. Responsibilities include developing relationships with Benefits Advisors and policyholders, acquiring new business, and managing existing accounts. The role offers opportunities to work with a dynamic team to meet or exceed sales, profitability, renewal, and persistency targets.

1. Maintain and strengthen relationships with advisors to achieve sales targets.
2. Manage the sales process from proposal request to final presentation.
3. Develop and implement business plans to meet sales goals through new and existing client relationships.
4. Collaborate with consultants, advisors, plan sponsors, and client service staff to ensure client satisfaction during new business implementation.
5. Work with the Group Customer team to ensure success in the market.
6. Promote additional products and services to enhance client retention.
7. Represent the Canada Life brand positively in the industry and community.

1. At least five years of experience in group insurance, with knowledge of group life, healthcare, disability insurance, and underwriting.
2. Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for presentations, along with strong mathematical skills.
3. Ability to act quickly and propose innovative solutions.
4. Adaptability to a fast-changing environment; proven negotiation and public speaking skills.
5. Strong sales and interpersonal skills, motivated to achieve objectives; proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
6. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
7. Designations such as C.A.A.S., GBA, or CEBS are advantageous.
8. Undergraduate diploma or equivalent experience.

The salary range is $67,000 - $111,700 annually, excluding variable compensation components such as bonuses and commissions. Further details will be discussed during the recruitment process.
