Vice President, Account Executive – Business Development

The Business Development Account Executive is responsible for acquiring new clients and developing the commercial portfolio in the corporate risk insurance sector.

In collaboration with regional management, they identify prospects with risk management and risk transfer needs, while building a relationship of trust and delivering high-quality service.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. This role is not eligible for sponsorship, and we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa or work permit.

What the day will look like
  • Prospect new clients (large companies, specific sectors) and develop new business opportunities.
  • Analyze prospects’ needs in terms of commercial risks (liability, property damage, cyber risks, transport, etc.).
  • Design and present customized insurance solutions, in collaboration with the technical teams.
  • Ensure follow-up on agreements concluded and maintain long‑term relationships with clients.
  • Achieve the production and growth targets set by management.
  • Participate in professional events and represent the company with partners and local networks.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • University degree or advanced training in insurance or risk management, or an equivalent number of years of professional experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the insurance field.
  • French / English bilingualism required due to frequent interactions with clients, colleagues, or partners based in Quebec, other Canadian provinces and/or internationally.
  • Proven experience in selling insurance solutions or B2B services, ideally in commercial risks.
  • In‑depth knowledge of the insurance market and products related to corporate risks.
  • Excellent skills in prospecting, negotiation, and closing sales.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, autonomy, and a strong sense of initiative.
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate with technical experts.
  • Commercial insurance license (AMF license).
  • At least one of the following designations will be considered a strong asset: CRM, CIP, FCIP, or CAIB.
