Key Responsibilities • Supervise and coordinate the activities of operators and production staff on the 6” extrusion press line. • Monitor press operations to ensure adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols. • Set up and troubleshoot extrusion dies, tooling, and equipment. • Oversee billet loading, extrusion, quenching, and handling procedures. • Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and coordinate with maintenance for timely repairs and preventive maintenance. • Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to ensure skill development and performance improvement. • Maintain accurate production and downtime records; report deviations to upper management. • Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies. • Liaise with quality control to minimize defects and reduce scrap. • Assist with inventory control, raw material usage, and operational efficiency. • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the extrusion line.
Qualifications • Minimum 5 years of experience in aluminium extrusion, specifically with 6" & 8” press operations. • Strong understanding of extrusion processes, die setup, tooling, and metallurgical principles. • Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and quality systems • Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. • Excellent communication and team management abilities. • Proficiency with production reporting systems and basic computer skills.
