As a Legal Counsel, you will work closely with our General Counsel to handle complex legal matters and projects as part of the Legal team across EMPG. You will ensure the legality of commercial transactions and advise on legal rights and duties. Your responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and following up on various contracts under the guidance of the General Counsel. While your role supports the EMPG Group's global legal functions, most responsibilities will be related to EMPG's UAE operations based on your location.

1. Handle all corporate legal processes including intellectual property, mergers & acquisitions, compliance, transactions, agreements, lawsuits, and patents.
2. Develop company policies and legal positions.
3. Research and mitigate legal risks.
4. Guide managers to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
5. Draft, review, and manage legal reports and documents.
6. Represent the company in legal proceedings.
7. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and deal terms.
8. Collaborate with internal departments on legal requirements.
9. Conduct training on legal and contractual processes.
10. Liaise with government authorities regarding contracts.
11. Organize and maintain contracts in filing systems.
12. Provide administrative support to the Legal team.

1. Bachelor's degree in Law or equivalent from an accredited institution in England & Wales, Australia, South Africa, or other Commonwealth countries, with training at an international law firm.
2. 5 to 8 years of relevant legal experience.
3. Experience as a TMT lawyer, dealing with data privacy, telecoms, IT advisory, and strategic sourcing.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
5. Strong background in corporate law, including contracts, tax, securities, bankruptcy, intellectual property, licensing, and zoning laws.
6. Excellent communication skills in both oral and written English; bilingual Arabic-English is preferred.
7. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
8. Strong organizational skills and legal acumen to handle complex matters.
9. Flexibility to work across different legal practice areas.
