We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team in Dubai. This role is key to driving strategic growth across our core sectors: Oil & Gas, Construction, Life Support,Commercial Client and Mining.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop new business relationships and maintain existing business relationships.
- Research organizations and individuals to find new opportunities, plan marketing initiatives, and increase sales.
- Raise the company’s profile within the industry and develop client understanding of the scope of the company’s services and products to ensure maximum inclusion in client invitations to bid.
- Identify new and emerging needs among current and potential clientele for the company’s services and products.
- Develop a strategy and business plan on how to increase market share in the company’s operational area (by service and by customer).
- Identify potential opportunities for partnerships and acquisitions in order to fast track growth in the industry.
- Provide the BDD with both short term and long-term goals that identify, qualify, and quantify opportunities for growth.
- Develop and manage a team of sales professionals that will support your growth strategy for the industry.
- Develop and maintain a client database, weekly report of activities, and remain in constant contact with the BDD on developments.
- Develop opportunity specific capture plans and proposal strategies that will provide the Bid Team the needed information and tools to maximize win probability.
- Participate in final proposal reviews, to ensure client objectives and expectations have been met.
- Conduct competitor analysis on a regular basis to support capture and positioning strategy.
- Identify, research and present in a comprehensive manner potential projects, clients, markets, and geographies, subject to yield business opportunities.
- Benchmark the company’s capabilities, solutions and pricing against incumbents and competitors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- 10 years of experience in business development
- Experience in setting sales goals.
- Results-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Deep understanding of CRM systems and best practices.
- Proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Office products.
- Experience in Africa is essential.
- UN or NGO background a plus.
- Remote site operational experience essential.
