About the job
Based at the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi, within the Sales & Marketing Department, the Social Media Manager is responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies to increase online presence and enhance marketing and sales efforts for the hotel and its outlets. This role collaborates closely with food & beverage, spa, leisure, membership, and rooms to craft storytelling at the resort. The Social Media Manager reports to the Director of Marketing Communications.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement the hotel’s social media and e-commerce strategy with KPIs, guided by the Director of Marketing Communications.
- Plan creative, targeted social media campaigns proactively.
- Stay updated on social media trends and developments.
- Research and develop new content strategies to improve performance.
- Set KPIs for social media agencies and utilize monitoring tools to manage all resort social channels.
- Conduct competitive analysis and recommend content strategies.
- Oversee all social media accounts, including F&B and Spa, ensuring accountability through agencies.
- Develop and execute the annual social media content strategy aligned with brand standards.
- Prepare bi-weekly posts and Instagram Stories for approval.
- Plan and execute influencer campaigns with local/international influencers and the PR team.
- Collaborate with the eCommerce Manager on campaigns to generate leads and engagement.
- Manage community interactions and crisis situations across social platforms.
- Prepare monthly social media reports for department heads and the executive committee.
- Coordinate with departments to create quality content.
- Write, commission, and edit materials for various audiences across platforms.
- Organize and oversee social media photography and videography sessions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, eCommerce Management, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in luxury hospitality or resort environments.
- Excellent communication skills with a compelling style.
- Ability to write clearly for various audiences and settings.
- Strong attention to detail and project management skills.
- Creative thinker with flair and imagination.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
