Job Description SummaryThe APM MENAT and SSA Digital Sales and Business Development Manager will report to the APM Global Sales Leader and drive growth in APM and Digital Services within the region collaborating with the Grid Automation Sales Director and regional sales teams. This role focuses on pipeline development achieving sales targets and deploying the APM GotoMarket strategy supported by the APM central team for expertise demonstrations and tendering.
APM is a growing business within Grid Solutions enabling utilities and grid operators to transition from timebased to conditionbased maintenance through digital solutions. The portfolio includes an Enterprise APM platform Digital Field Inspection Online Monitoring Diagnostic Sensors and telecom solutions. Backed by a global team spanning Sales R&D Product and Operations GE Grid Solutions leads this field with extensive global project experience.Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Achieve the sales target and business development growth for Asset Performance Management and digital solutions within the organization.
  • Develop business opportunities and conduct significant campaigns to win Digital Services focused on the Asset Performance Management (APM) business.
  • Build a go to market strategy for an enterprise solution including other GE products and solutions.
  • Promote and develop APM business with the utilities and industrial customers of the region.
  • Leverage GE Grid Solutions experience / capabilities to increase the Digital Services pipeline.
  • Engage early on all grid key deals to promote proactively Digital Services.
  • Negotiate and close very complex and high value deals in alignment with direct sales staff.
  • Communicate educate and enable the regional sales team on sales practices and process.
  • Identify and grow the digital APM opportunities by combining current GE portfolio.
  • Establish commercial contracts and agreements with customers to support Service agreements delivery leveraging the global templates.
  • Lead proposal team to develop innovative and creative solutions to benefit the business and the customers.
  • Develop customer centric solutions to resolve customer challenges and build long term mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Utilize current market data to prepare regional strategies and marketing campaign initiatives and promote brand awareness.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance in all activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • More than 10 years SW/electrical expertise & experience business.
  • More than 10 years experience in the sales and business development in the MENAT and SSA region.
  • More than 10 years in the Grid Automation Digital and Grid Services business.
  • Experience in a similar position with a network already in this sector (grid/digital/software solutions).
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field; an engineering background is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory and other language skills are nice to have
